GUEST STARS ON DREW CAREY |
 |
Susan
guest starred on the Christmas episode of The Drew Carey Show
playing a single, pregnant co-worker of Drew's, with her sights firmly
set on him as the father.
Susan is
pictured top left with Kathy Kinney, bottom left lounging on the living room
set, and at right showing off her "bundle of joy." |

THE
JOHN SALLEY SHOW
ON THE BET NETWORK - Nov 20, 2000 |
 |
Susan
was a guest on a BET talk show hosted by former NBA star, John Salley.
In the picture at left, you'll notice that Susan's standing on the
couch... John is 6'11" tall.
Susan
had to rush over from the set of XCU to do this interview, with no time
to change out of her wig for the movie -- thus the redhead look she is
sporting in this photo. Imagine the conversation when John got a
gander at Susan in her non-wigged, jet-black hair when he rolled the
clip from Nikki. |

| NIKKI
- SEASON ONE BEGINS PRODUCTION - JUNE 2000 |
 |
Susan
began production on the new WB sitcom, NIKKI, and was
thrilled to hear that the network had picked up the show for a full
first season. And FULL it was. Susan played Mary Campbell --
a Vegas showgirl bitter to be beyond her Vegas dancer prime. This
queen of one-liners, the sarcastic and witty character of Mary, was
great fun for Susan to create, and found her portraying quite a few
interesting and irreverent characters in the unique and outrageous
production numbers that opened each episode.
Season
one of NIKKI premiered in October of 2000 |
| MAY

 |
After
a wonderfully successful and immensely rewarding run, Susan
presented her final performance in Broadway's Cabaret at Studio
54, where she received outstanding critical acclaim for her year-long
portrayal of the downwardly-mobile Sally Bowles.

Times and the Orange
County Register.

15, 2000 |
|
Susan
wrote the liner notes for the exceptional debut solo release from singer
and friend Lisa Richard, Born To Entertain. |
 |
Excerpts
from Susan's liner notes:
"What
I love to hear is the daring woman - sure and in command - standing out
front with the big band boys in back! Or the woman alone, singing
soulfully with little accompaniment - totally exposed. That is
hot. That is talent. And that is Lisa."
"You
can hear Lisa - the real Lisa - in her phrasing (Never Enough), in her
tenderness (I Will Be Loved), in her humorous self-deprecation (You Can
Always Count On Me) and in her vocal power (Big Time)." |
