So welcome to a NEW page and an opportunity to share some fancy places I've discovered. Maybe you'll be as obsessed as I am with some of these sites! Check them out -- some are links to friend's pages/blogs; some are time-consuming games you'll never stop playing, some are informative (and entertaining); so have fun! Well,
I finally have the chance to show you how talented the rest of my
family is (or should I say, the women in my family are!!)
My older sister, Liz, has always been an extraordinary visual artist.
While I was singing and dancing, I was always secretly envious that
she could (with a single line, never lifting the pencil from the page)
draw a human hand that looked ... perfect, down to every last wrinkle
on the knuckle. Now that her kids are in school and she has a
bit of free time, she has started painting again ... human bodies (on
the inside) in ways that look like impressionistic landscapes and
more. Amazing.
No surprise, then, that when my brother, Michael, found his true love,
Pla, and married her, she turned out to be a fantastic artist as well!
Pla, Michael, and their son, Leighton have been in Los Angeles these
last five years (after living in Thailand and Australia) and so I've
had such fun spending time with them, watching her work, going to
Pla's art shows, and hanging several of her paintings in our house.
Now both ladies have websites and journals/blogs. I hope you'll
enjoy them!! |
